About Alvarez Landscaping and Remodeling

Mid-June, seven in the morning, and the Patuxent still wears a thin skin of mist down by Riverfront Park while the grass on the slope above it stands up wet and green. That is the hour Alvarez Landscaping and Remodeling likes best for mowing — before the humidity settles in and the day gets its mind made up. The crew mows, edges and trims through Laurel's yards, keeps beds mulched and hedges shaped, and hauls the clippings and leaf litter away so nothing is left to mat down in the heat. There is a real pleasure in a lawn cut in straight passes with the border cut sharp against the walk, the kind of finish you notice from the sidewalk without knowing quite why. Come autumn the same yards get cleared down to the last leaf, ready to rest.
