About La plata landscape

March is indecisive around the county seat. One morning the ditches along Charles Street run full with meltwater, and the next the whole town is under a slushy inch nobody predicted. La plata landscape takes both — plowing and shoveling drives and walks when winter makes its last argument, then the first mow, the first edge, the raking out of everything the cold left behind. Properties here run from tight in-town squares to long approaches out past the fairgrounds, and each one wakes up in its own order. Getting a lawn out of March looking crisp and even is a small, genuine triumph. That first clean cut of the year is worth showing up for.
