Collentro Landscape and Nursery

About Collentro Landscape and Nursery

After a Southern Maryland snowfall, La Plata goes quiet in a way it seldom does: the rail line through town lies buried, the courthouse lawn turns white, and the sun comes back bright off every roof. Collentro Landscape and Nursery, a landscape and nursery business in the Charles County seat, turns to snow removal when winter finally shows up. Driveways and walks get cleared with the same gentleness a nursery gives its young plants, nothing torn up that ought to stay put, every path opened from end to end. Snow here tends to be heavy and quick to freeze once the sun sets, so moving it during the bright middle of the day matters. When the shadows stretch long across town, the walks are drying and the path to the street is open.
