About Bay Breeze Lawn Co.

Hughesville sits where the roads cross in the middle of old tobacco country, near enough the Patuxent that a breeze finds its way up from Benedict on a warm afternoon. Bay Breeze Lawn Co. works those Charles County yards and field edges — mowing, trimming, edging and seasonal cleanups — across the long stretch from the first green of April to the last leaf in November. Then the year tips over and the same attention goes to snow: drives opened, walkways cleared, salt down ahead of the morning freeze. Properties run big out here and the June light runs late, so the day stretches and the mower keeps going well past supper. A cut field at golden hour, striped and quiet, is its own kind of pay.
