About More Than Mowing, LLC

Makinen was cleared square by square out of the birch and balsam by Finnish families, and the openings they made are the lawns being mowed today. In this corner of St. Louis County the June light stays late, which is a mercy, because the grass seems to grow all night. More Than Mowing, LLC mows and trims those clearings, edges the drives where turf meets gravel, and cleans the yards out at each end of the season. Between the sauna path, the woodpile and the tree line there is more trimming than mowing in some yards — that is simply the work here. Standing back from a cut opening ringed in white birch is reason enough to keep doing it.
