About Hills Lawn Care

Mowing in Green Valley means mowing on a slope. The ground tilts toward Linganore Creek in long green folds, and a yard that looks flat from the road turns out to have a shoulder hidden in it. Hills Lawn Care cuts those grades clean, running stripes that follow the contour instead of fighting it, trimming sharp along the walks, blowing the clippings off the drive before the truck pulls away. Through June the grass comes on fast between thunderstorms, so the work is weekly and unglamorous and deeply satisfying to look back at from the mailbox. When the season turns, it becomes leaves — cleared off the lawn before the first hard frost settles across these hills.
