About Traditional Services LLC

Out past the beltway the land opens into Long Green Valley, and Glen Arm keeps the older shape of things — gravel lanes, board fences, barns set well back from the road. Snow falls gentler out here and stays longer, drifting along the fencelines and filling the low field gates while the county trucks are still busy with the main roads. Traditional Services LLC takes the long approaches: the quarter-mile run down from the house to Glen Arm Road, the turnaround by the barn, the path to the door and out to the mailbox. There is a plain pleasure in a lane cut clean to the gravel by mid-morning, the banks squared off, salt down on the grade where shade holds the ice past noon. By afternoon the whole valley is bright and white to the treeline of the Gunpowder, and anyone who needs to be somewhere can go.
