About Gerald's Landscaping

After a clear-sky snowfall the ridges around Waring Station Road go luminous, moonlight lying on the fields so brightly you could read by it. Gerald's Landscaping is out in that light, plowing driveways down to pavement and cutting the walks open by hand where the drifts pile against a garage or a front step. Salt follows, worked into the shaded stretches that never see enough sun to save themselves. There is a satisfaction particular to this work: standing at the road, looking back up a long clean drive, and knowing the household will wake to no obstacle at all. Snow removal in Germantown, storm by storm, however late the hour runs.
