About Wainwright's Lawn & Garden, LLC

Old Germantown sits down by Liberty Mill Road, where the road bends toward the creek and the town's farming past is still legible in the stonework. Wainwright's Lawn & Garden, LLC works the yards that grew up around it — mowing through the humid stretch of July, when a Maryland lawn puts on an inch between visits, edging beds and walkways, trimming the corners a mower rounds off. Summer arrives here as thunderstorms coming up the corridor from the southwest, and the grass is steaming again by noon; the trick is timing the cut so the lines stay crisp and the clippings never mat. In the shoulder seasons come the cleanups, when the beds get put right and the lawn is set down neat for the cold. Lawn care in Germantown and the farm-country towns west of it.
