About J B Kline Landscaping

Northwest of Gaithersburg, Sugarloaf Mountain sits low on the horizon like a grey wave that never breaks, and when the sky above it flattens to pewter, the plow trucks get fueled. J B Kline Landscaping works the hours nobody wants — two in the morning on a cul-de-sac, headlights full of falling snow, the blade laying down one clean pass and then the next. There is a plain joy in a driveway that is black and wet and open before the first commuter bound for the I-270 corridor has found their keys. Walks come down to bare concrete, thresholds get salt, and the pile goes where it won't blind a driver backing out. By sunrise the street reads as though winter took the morning off.
