About Herrera Tree Services and Landscaping LLC

An ice storm makes Gaithersburg beautiful and treacherous in the same hour — the bare oaks along Frederick Avenue turn to glass, and so does every sidewalk beneath them. Herrera Tree Services and Landscaping LLC works those mornings with the plow, the shovel and a good supply of salt, opening driveways, cutting walkways down to bare concrete, treating the shaded stretches that never quite let go. Route 355 traffic starts early, so the drives feeding it have to be open earlier still. There is a plain pleasure in the sound of a scraper finding pavement. Snow moved, ice broken, a household free to leave on time.
