About Alpine Services Inc

Snow falls differently over water; on the black surface of Lake Whetstone it seems to vanish, while a hundred yards uphill it is already stacking on the cul-de-sacs. Alpine Services Inc runs those Montgomery Village loops through the night, plowing the courts and parking bays a county truck never reaches, then working back down the walkways by hand. Ice management is the second half of the job — the shaded, north-facing drives around Gaithersburg hold a slick long after the sun has cleared everything else. There is a particular satisfaction in a cul-de-sac done right: one continuous curve of open asphalt, snow banked where it belongs. Come morning, the only tracks are the ones the neighbors leave.
