About Clancy Lawn Company

Dawn on the Walkersville flats north of Frederick turns the dew silver, and the first mower of the day leaves a dark wake straight through it. Clancy Lawn Company keeps to that early hour — mowing, trimming and edging while the air is still cool and the grass cuts clean instead of tearing. Autumn brings the leaf work and the last low pass before dormancy; winter turns the same routes into plow routes, with long farm lanes and driveways opened and walks salted before the day starts. Between the Monocacy and the county roads, the ground here is generous and asks only to be kept up with. Finish a drive at first light and the whole day gets easier for somebody.
