About Lawns By George

On a clear evening from the high ground along Old Fort Road you can pick out the Virginia shore across the Potomac, Mount Vernon's hill sitting low and green above the water. The lawns on this side deserve a view of their own, and Lawns By George cuts them that way — mowing straight, laying an edge along the walk and drive you could follow with a ruler, trimming the ground the mower leaves behind, then blowing every last clipping off the concrete. Fort Washington summers run long and humid, so the schedule stays weekly and it does not drift. The best part of the trade is the last look back from the truck, when low light rakes across a fresh cut and the lines show. That result is what the whole week aims at.
