About Nature's Landscaping

Behind the houses, Forestville still runs to ravine and stream — Cabin Branch cutting down through tulip poplars toward the Anacostia, holding its own cool weather even in August. Nature's Landscaping keeps to the tamer side of that line, the mown side, though the two are close neighbors and always have been. October is the honest month for it: poplar leaves coming down faster than anyone can rake them, the grass slowing, the light turning amber by four o'clock. A yard cut and cleared before the cold sets in is a small kindness a house remembers all winter. Mowing, trimming and cleanup, Forestville and the towns around it.
