First Call for Snowfall provides snow removal in this southern Caroline County town, opening driveways and front steps once winter weather reaches this far south on the Shore. Snow does not fall often or deep here, so even a few inches can stop a town in its tracks, and that is exactly when a cleared path matters most. The first gray light finds the work already under way, a route opened from door to road while steam curls off the creek in the cold. By the time Federalsburg stirs, the snow has been moved aside.
