Starkey Lawn Care & Services

About Starkey Lawn Care & Services

Fairplay sits in the broad Hagerstown Valley, limestone country where dairy barns and cornfields stretch toward a blue line of mountains on the horizon. Starkey Lawn Care & Services works this Washington County community in both its seasons, mowing and trimming lawns through the green months and clearing snow once winter blows down the valley. Valley summers are warm and fertile, and grass on that limestone ground grows thick enough to want a steady rhythm of cuts and clean edges. In winter the same open land lets the wind lay snow across driveways in long drifts, and the work turns to digging out lanes and sidewalks before the school buses come. Either way, it keeps a home in the valley ready for whatever the day brings.
