Huffman Service

About Huffman Service

September in Elkton has a sound all its own — buses on the Route 40 side of town at seven, mowers picking up an hour later once the dew gives way. Huffman Service keeps lawn care running through that turn of the season, cutting, trimming and clearing up across town and out toward the Delaware line. Late-summer grass grows in fits here, hard after a rain and hardly at all through a dry stretch, so the job is as much reading the lawn as running the machine. Cool mornings make for easier mowing, and yards hold their shape longer in them. A lawn kept even into October comes back next spring with far less to fix.
