About ALTRA LAWNCARE & LANDSCAPING SERVICES INC

Where Big Elk Creek and Little Elk Creek fold together below Elk Landing, the water has been drawing this town's lines far longer than anyone has been mowing them. ALTRA LAWNCARE & LANDSCAPING SERVICES INC keeps lawns on those low banks and in the streets that climb away from the water, mowing and trimming until a yard holds one clean shape all week. Summer comes up humid off the head of the bay here, and an early cut, made before the dew has left the ditch grass, leaves stripes you can read from the road. In January the work turns to plowing, and the trucks are out on driveways and lots before the first commuter has found the keys. A drive cleared down to bare pavement at first light is its own kind of good morning.
