About Mark's Deep Roots Turf Care LLC

The name is a promise about what happens underground. Elkridge sits on stubborn Piedmont clay, the kind that bakes hard by July and makes a lawn work for every inch it grows, and Mark's Deep Roots Turf Care LLC works with that soil instead of against it — mowing, feeding, aerating and overseeding so the green on top has something to stand on. Along the wooded edges near Rockburn Branch Park, a lawn that gets its cutting height right in June is a lawn still holding color in late August. Spring and fall cleanups clear the winter's litter and the autumn's drop, and the mower lines come back straight to the curb every week. It is slow, patient work, and it shows up months later as turf that simply refuses to thin.
