About RJ & Sons Paving

An ice storm on the Shore does not announce itself with drama; it simply glazes everything between midnight and three and waits for the morning shift. Parking lots are where that turns dangerous first — wide, dark, and slick from one painted line to the next. RJ & Sons Paving works the snow side of that: plowing lots and drives, clearing entrances and loading areas, hand-shoveling the curb cuts and walks a blade cannot reach, and spreading salt so a surface stays a surface. Easton's commercial ground runs close to level, which means meltwater lingers and sets up again at dusk instead of running off, so a lot gets looked at twice. Coming back to find it black and wet, cars parking like it is any other Tuesday — that is the whole point of the night.
