About Jason's Computer Services

At four in the morning, with Washington Street empty and the streetlights doing that yellow thing they do in falling snow, Easton is about as quiet as a town ever gets. Jason's Computer Services works that hour through the winter — plowing driveways, pushing back lots, clearing the walks so the town can open on schedule. Snow reaches this part of Maryland only a handful of times a season and rarely politely, wet and heavy with ice waiting underneath, so it gets moved while it is still soft and salted before it can set. There is a plain pleasure in a driveway already open when somebody lifts the blind and looks out. Then the storm passes, the roads come back, and the equipment goes quiet until the next one.
