Duvall Brothers

About Duvall Brothers

The hard part of an Eastern Shore winter is not depth, it is glaze — a night of freezing rain that bows the loblolly pines along Oxford Road and turns every driveway into one continuous sheet. Duvall Brothers runs against those nights around Easton, plowing drives, opening parking areas and cutting paths across walkways so the morning can happen on time. Wet snow, sleet layers, the crust that forms once the wind swings around off the water — each one takes a different pass with a different tool. Salt goes where the feet go, doors and steps first. By the time the sky lightens over the fields the work is finished and mostly invisible, which is precisely how it ought to look.
