Lawn & Lug

About Lawn & Lug

Late October down Merritt Boulevard, the maples let go all at once and the gutters fill overnight. Lawn & Lug spends those weeks in leaves — blowing them out of the fence lines and foundation beds, raking, and hauling the piles away rather than letting them mat down over the turf. Earlier in the year the rhythm is simpler: mow, trim, edge, mulch, keep the hedges honest. Dundalk lawns take a beating from the humidity that rolls up the Patapsco in July, so the autumn work — aeration, overseeding, one last low cut — is what buys back a good spring. The reward is a yard in November that looks like nothing ever fell on it.
