About Double K Contractors, Inc.

Winter storms reach Damascus from two directions — clippers sweeping down from the northwest, and coastal lows winding snow up from the Atlantic — and Double K Contractors, Inc. watches both. Before the first band arrives, the trucks are loaded, the salt is staged, and the route is set. Through the night they work lots and driveways in cycles, keeping pace with the storm instead of chasing it, then return at dawn to cut away the ice the freeze always leaves behind. On elevation like this the cold hangs on, so the follow-up matters as much as the first pass. When the town wakes, the pavement is black and the day can begin.
