About Broadleaf Grounds Works

Damascus holds the highest ground in Montgomery County, and winter knows it — flurries that pass over Germantown as rain land here as inches. Broadleaf Grounds Works is built for exactly that arithmetic. When a storm crosses overnight, the trucks are out while the streetlights are still on, working driveways down to clean blacktop before the first commuters ease onto Ridge Road. There is a particular satisfaction in the sound of a blade finding pavement, and in leaving behind a drive that looks like the snow simply skipped it. From the first dusting of December to the stubborn ice of March, that is the work: Damascus, cleared and open, one pass at a time.
