Riverside yard waste recycling

About Riverside yard waste recycling

Cumberland sits where Wills Creek meets the North Branch of the Potomac, folded among mountains that turn copper and red each October and then let it all fall onto the lawns below. Riverside yard waste recycling handles lawn care with an eye on where all that green and gold ends up, taking the leaves, clippings and brush a mountain-town yard produces and putting them back to use. There is a plain, good logic to it: the yard gets cleared, and nothing that grew there is simply thrown away. From the old streets near the canal basin to hillside homes looking out toward the Narrows, fall clean-up here is a whole season's work. When the last leaves are gone and the lawn lies bare under a gray November sky, the yard is ready to rest.
