About Floyd's Tree Expert Company, LLC.

Cumberland is a town built on hillsides, with Wills Creek cutting down through the Narrows and the Potomac bending along its southern edge. The streets climb, the yards perch, and the trees in them lean out over stone walls and steep back lots where a ladder is never quite level. Floyd's Tree Expert Company, LLC works that terrain with rope and rigging — removal on a slope, pruning that holds a maple back off a slate roof, trimming along the alleys where the wires run close. When an ice storm loads the ridges above town and the hardwoods start letting go, the crew is out clearing what came down. There is a particular pride in a mountain yard left square and swept, the wood stacked, the walk open before the first climb to work.
