About Gios Landscaping, LLC

Conowingo lives beside a wall of concrete and moving water: the dam where U.S. Route 1 crosses the Susquehanna, with river fog lifting off the tailrace on summer mornings. Gios Landscaping, LLC keeps lawns in this river country, where the land climbs steeply from the water and yards sit among wooded hillsides. The job is bringing the grass to a level height, trimming close around trees and steps, and edging until each lawn lies tidy against the oaks. Winter belongs to the bald eagles that gather below the dam to fish, but through the growing months the attention here stays on the turf. Come evening, with the Susquehanna sliding silver over its rocks, a newly mown yard holds the last of the light.
