About Griffs Services

The hard storms in Columbia aren't always the deep ones — sometimes it's the gray afternoon glaze, sleet ticking against windows in Oakland Mills, footbridges over Route 29 going slick by dusk. Griffs Services treats every version of winter with the same seriousness. Salt goes down ahead of the freeze, plows roll while the snow is still falling, and shovels finish what machines can't reach: the steps, the stoop, the narrow walk to the mailbox. The point is plain and worth being plain about — people need to get to work, kids need to reach the bus stop, and nobody should have to skate their own driveway to do it. So the crew clears it, treats it, and checks it again when the refreeze comes at night. Winter in Maryland is unpredictable; the response to it doesn't have to be.
