The Lettuce Man

About The Lettuce Man

The name sounds like high summer, but The Lettuce Man's work in Cockeysville belongs to the cold months — snow removal, plain and needed. When a storm crosses the county, the fairgrounds down in Timonium go white and silent, and every driveway in town becomes somebody's first problem of the day. This is the outfit that takes the problem away: drives plowed, steps and walks shoveled, salt down where the melt will refreeze after dark. Winter around here is moody — one year all ice, the next all powder — and the response has to be steadier than the weather. A green name in a white season, and the pavement clear either way.
