About APC Services, LLC

Snow in Chevy Chase arrives politely, the way most things do here — a hush over Chevy Chase Circle, a white seam down the middle of Connecticut Avenue before the first commuters stir. APC Services, LLC works those hours on the Maryland side of the line, when porch lamps are still burning and the plows' headlights sweep across sleeping brick colonials. Their trade is snow removal: driveways opened, walks shoveled to the brick, ice cut back from the steps before anyone has to test them in dress shoes. There is a particular satisfaction in a clean black driveway under a gray five a.m. sky, and this crew chases it storm after storm. By the time the school buses climb the hill from Bethesda, the work is already behind them.
