About Stump Lee's lawn service,DBA

June dusk on the lanes at the edge of Chestertown: lightning bugs rising out of fresh-cut grass, the day's heat finally letting go. Stump Lee's lawn service earns evenings like that one yard at a time — out with the mower while the dew still darkens the tires, waving back at whoever is on the porch. It is unhurried, thorough work: grass brought to an even height, walk edges tidied, trimmings raked and gone. Around here people know each other's yards nearly as well as their own, so the results speak in a language the whole street reads. A well-kept lawn at sundown is its own kind of front-porch conversation.
