About Scott Cullen Services

Before dawn on a snowy January morning, the crossroads at the heart of Cecilton lies quiet under the streetlights, flakes sifting onto the road that runs north toward the Bohemia River. Scott Cullen Services works this small Cecil County town in two seasons, clearing driveways and walks after a winter storm and mowing and trimming lawns once warm weather returns. Winter on the upper Chesapeake can swing from mild to biting within a week, so no two snowfalls behave quite alike. Opening a drive to bare pavement so the day can start on time is the winter half of the job. The summer half is a freshly cut lawn on a long, warm evening, edges neat and fireflies rising from the grass.
