About Salamander Services

Down where Catonsville slopes toward the Patapsco, spring arrives as sound first — meltwater in the creek beds, then the mowers. Salamander Services takes its rhythm from that valley: lawn care through the growing months, snow removal when the river woods go quiet and white. Summer here is generous and humid, the grass on these hillside yards thickening almost overnight, so keeping a sharp line along a fence is a weekly act of attention. Then January flips the work — blades traded for plows, clippings for rock salt, the same driveways kept passable that were mowed in June. It is one town, tended in two languages. The salamanders under the valley stones would recognize the idea: stay close to the ground, and never really go dormant.
