Root & Gone

About Root & Gone

Left alone for one wet growing season here, a yard edge will try to go back to woods — honeysuckle over the fence, brambles into the beds, grass gone shaggy at the treeline. Root & Gone takes the other side of that argument. Working around California and Great Mills near the St. Mary's River, the company cuts lawns back to their intended shape: overgrowth knocked down, borders re-found, turf mowed until the property lines are visible again. Late winter is prime time for the heavy reclaiming, before the green rush of April makes everything harder. The best moment is standing at the curb afterward, seeing a yard that remembers what it was supposed to be.
