About Ryan’s Landscaping and Waste Management LLC.

There is an hour just after a storm passes over Brandywine when the wind quits, the clouds pull east toward the Patuxent, and everything on the coastal plain goes still and white. Ryan's Landscaping and Waste Management LLC likes that hour, because it is the hour the real work shows. The trucks roll out along the farm roads and cul-de-sacs between Crain Highway and the headwaters of Mattawoman Creek, pushing snow into tidy banks, cutting driveways open, breaking the ice sheet off the front steps. Down here the snow is often heavy with Chesapeake moisture — the kind that turns to concrete if you wait — so Ryan's doesn't wait. The measure of the job is simple and honest: can you get out, can the mail carrier get in, is the walk safe under your boots. When the answer is yes on every count, the crew moves on to the next place and does it again.
