Allen & Son Yard Service

About Allen & Son Yard Service

In Old Town Bowie the evenings still belong to the cicadas, and the little grid of streets near the railroad tracks holds its heat long after sundown. Allen & Son Yard Service moves through those neighborhoods with mowers and trimmers, cutting in the cooler hours so the grass stands up clean the next morning. The work is plain and honest: tight lines along old sidewalks, shrubs kept back from porch steps, clippings hauled away instead of left to yellow. Come winter, the rhythm flips — shovels and plows out before the town wakes, walks cleared beside houses that have watched trains pass for generations. It is small-town work in the truest sense, done one yard at a time until the whole street looks right.
