About Blue Collar Scholars Landscaping and Construction

Weather writes its own curriculum in Bethesda, and Blue Collar Scholars Landscaping and Construction has learned to read it closely. When a storm rides up the coast and the side streets off Wisconsin Avenue go white, the plows are out while the streetlights still burn, opening driveways and shoveling front walks so the morning can start on time. Then the lesson changes: mowing through the long humid months, trimming hedges, keeping edges sharp against curb and bed. Between the two seasons there is always something to figure out — a slope that drains wrong, a shade lawn that sulks — and figuring it out is the good part. The homework never really ends here, and that suits them fine.
