About Scientific Plant Service, Inc.

Baltimore sits on the fall line, where the piedmont's clay tumbles down to meet the coastal plain — which is a geologist's way of saying every lawn here has its own stubborn soil. Scientific Plant Service starts there, underground, treating turf care as a question you answer by looking closely: what this grass needs, in this dirt, in this light. Through the growing season that means feeding and tending lawns from Catonsville across the city; in winter the same attention turns to snow and ice, cleared and treated with the pavement's freeze-thaw habits in mind. It is patient work, more diagnosis than decoration. The lawns that result look less like luck and more like an answer.
