Organic Lawns

About Organic Lawns

Summer settles on Baltimore the way steam settles on a kitchen — by July the air off the Patapsco is thick enough to lean on, and a lawn either gets real attention or quietly surrenders. Organic Lawns works the green side of that bargain, tending yards from the shaded blocks near Druid Hill Park out to the city's leafier edges. The work begins with the soil and the grass itself: feeding, mowing, and coaxing turf that can stand up to a Chesapeake August. There is a particular pleasure in a yard that stays deep green while the sidewalk shimmers. That is the yard this crew is after, one visit at a time.
