About Landcrafters LLC

When a nor'easter finally finds the Chesapeake, it does its worst in the dark, and Landcrafters LLC does its best work in the same hours. The plow runs while Arnold sleeps — down the hills of Bay Hills, along the looping lanes above the creeks, headlights catching snow that nobody has touched yet. Bay-side storms leave a dense, water-heavy snow that freezes hard by morning, so the job is speed and thoroughness together: driveways scraped clean, walks cut through, ice treated before it can set. Then the strange, lovely quiet after a storm, the whole peninsula muffled and white, every cleared driveway a small proof that someone was out in it. Landcrafters likes being that someone.
