About Black Ridge Enterprises LLC

Here the storms arrive undecided. Sitting a few miles north of the Mason-Dixon line, Spring Garden Township catches the seam where a coastal storm can't make up its mind — rain on the low ground toward the Codorus, ice climbing the grades along Mount Rose Avenue. Black Ridge Enterprises LLC works snow removal in exactly those hours, plowing driveways and lots while the township is still dark and the main-road crews are somewhere out on the highways. There is a particular satisfaction in a lane that is black asphalt end to end at five in the morning, a little steam lifting off it. The rest of the day then belongs to whoever has to drive out of it.
