Maple Hill Lawn and Garden

About Maple Hill Lawn and Garden

Fog off the Potomac drifts over the fields by the National Colonial Farm on spring mornings, and Accokeek wakes slowly under it. Maple Hill Lawn and Garden works both ends of that river weather — garden beds turned and lawns mowed through the growing months, walks and driveways cleared when winter finally reaches this bend of the Potomac. It is a place where farmland and front yards share the same soil, and the work honors both: mow lines running true toward the tree line, shovels and salt ready the night a storm shows on the radar. Spring here smells like turned earth; winter smells like woodsmoke and cold river. Tending yards in between is good work in good country.
