J & J Lawn Care

About J & J Lawn Care

Up on the Allegheny Plateau, Accident sits nearly half a mile above sea level, and summer there arrives late and leaves early, so every mowing day counts. J & J Lawn Care tends lawns across this small Garrett County town, a place whose curious name comes from a well-worn tale of two colonial survey parties marking out the same tract by chance. Mornings often begin in a mountain fog that burns off by nine, and by then the mower is out laying clean stripes while the air still smells of hemlock and wet clover. Fence lines get trimmed and walks get edged so a yard looks finished from the road. When the short plateau season peaks in July, a freshly cut Accident lawn glows like a high meadow.
