Out at the Bass Hole boardwalk the marsh runs flat and green all the way to the tide line, and by July that same green has taken over every lawn in town. G B Landscape keeps it in shape: weekly mowing, trimming around posts and foundations, fresh mulch in the beds, and shrubs held back off the walkways. Cape yards are small and full of corners, so the finish work is most of the work. Cut at the right height in midsummer, a lawn near Gray's Beach will carry its color straight through the dry weeks of August. Nothing complicated about it — just the same day's work repeated, and a yard that shows it.
