Wind comes hard across the ledge at Joe's Rock, and by February it has packed the drifts into something a shovel simply laughs at. Miles of Excavating takes that on with snow plowing for driveways, lots and the long gravel lanes out in West Wrentham, along with clearing around entries and sanding or salting wherever ice sets up. Gravel wants a certain touch — blade carried a little high, so the drive is opened and not scattered across the lawn. Storm nights run long, and the trucks keep moving until every route is passable rather than merely begun. What a customer sees at the end of it is very simple: a way out, at the hour they need one.
