Salisbury Pond holds the sky flat in the early morning, and the lawns around Institute Park come up out of the mist looking newly pressed. Tian's Landscaping Corp works toward that finish: mowing in even lines, trimming where a blade cannot reach, edging drives and walks, mulching beds so the ground beneath the plantings runs one uniform dark. The spring cleanup sets the year up — winter debris out, beds recut, turf raked open — and the fall cleanup packs it away along with the leaves off Newton Hill. Through the middle of summer it is simply the weekly return: the mower, the trimmer, the blower, and the same street looking cared for every seven days. Steady work, and quietly visible.
