The Blackstone Canal runs under the Canal District now, buried but not gone, and the blocks above it still tilt the way the water once did. D.S. Landscape works those grades in both directions of the year. Warm months mean mowing, trimming and cleanups on lots that are more slope than square; cold months mean plowing, shoveling and spreading salt before the tilt turns dangerous. There is real pride in a driveway cut down to pavement on a hill that fought back the whole way. And in July, on that same piece of crooked ground, a lawn mowed to a line that runs perfectly straight.
