Commonwealth Hydroseed

About Commonwealth Hydroseed

Hydroseeding is a bet on the future: a green slurry sprayed across bare ground in spring, and three weeks later a lawn where there was only mud. Commonwealth Hydroseed places that bet all over Woburn, from fresh grading on a Mishawum lot to the tired back corner of a yard that finally gave up. The work runs from seeding and overseeding to establishing a whole lawn from scratch, then the ordinary keeping of it — mowing, trimming, feeding it through the dry stretch of July. Woburn's ground still remembers the Middlesex Canal; some of it drains in an hour and some holds water all April, so the seeding has to match what is actually under the topsoil. The satisfying moment comes when the first faint haze of green shows and the homeowner sends a picture of it.
